BAV Charity Project - Pick a Paint Scheme

For the last month or so I have been working on a charity project asking gamers to donate old models which we will then strip repair and customise into an army which will be raffled off at Battle Around the Vines on the 4th of May next year.

Ticket sales will start soon. Just working through some of the logistics.
Above I am asking people to vote on a paint scheme, the final list will be worked out once the new Space Marine codex is released , hopefully next month.

I'm practice I found that air superiority is key 6 Flyers, 3 Anti Air units, a smattering of AT and Anti Horde. bunch of shooting and some assault elements. I'll post the results monday.

Charity Project

On Top of the above I have started a Charity Project. Run in Conjection with Battle Around the Vines
This year for a fund raiser we will be trying something new. 
I will be asking for people to donate their old and unwanted models. 
I and maybe a few other volunteers will then strip, clean repair and repaint them 
I am hoping that we can put together a 2000-3000 point army between us which will then be raffled off at BaV.
I will be donating my time, paint, Brushes and a display board. 
I am Not sure how ticket sales will be done yet
Once the models start coming in there will be a poll to decide the color scheme, This may get fluffy depending on what gets donated. 
I am entertaining the idea that Major contributors will get a few free tickets, as a thank you to Bigest contributor/s I will be creating small trophies. 
So please, pledge models below, I will be collecting models at Lords of Terra, MOAB and possibly Cancon or PM me and we can work something out. 
I am Mainly looking for marines but Guard, GK or Sisters of battle are also good. if you want to donate anything else I will try to incorporate it.

Thoughts on wolves, 2 years in

I've been playing wolves for 2 Years now. I've managed 2 firsts, a couple of seconds and even a wooden spoon with them.

I know some one must be reading this, drop me a comment any feedback is good feedback,

So here is what I have learnt, this will probably fly in the face of popular opinion and even my own previous advice

HQ's

Rune priest is the only one worth a damn. And even he is a bit average. Livining lighting and murderous hurricane rock, every thing else is a little to situational

ELITES

Wolf guard are great. Should be attached to every other squad.

Scouts - Good but not great, too unpredictable and in the games they do well I've rarely found them game breaking.

Troops

9 grey hunters w/Melta gun, Wolf guard attached with a power fist and combi melta.

If using pods consider a plasma pistol, banner is OK. sometimes.

Fast attack

I have seen thunder wolves do great things. But I cannot see myself running them. When they work, great but if they fail, you;re screwed.

Heavy Support - I prefer a Mechanised option here, Vindicators for horde control, Preds for ranged support

Transports - You have an army designed for short range, Move as a group and lash out. move fast, engage quickly

WHAT I RUN

Rune Priest, Lightning,. hurricane, Great utility character, avoid getting him out of his rhino

wolf guard, usually minimum, with a drop pod. Wolf guard get assigned to squds, pod drops empty means everything hits turn 1.

Grey hunters, 4 squads in rhinos, 2 in pods

- Scouts are still situational, good in small points but in big points I have a better Idea
