Well it was bad. Really bad. My idea of taking the smallest amount of models backfired remarkably.

So forgot my camera. Showed up hung over with a lack of sleep.

What Went Wrong

I learned alot.

- Dozer blades are worth it with this much armor

- Volume of Fire > Strength

- Razors with Twin Las lack synergy as you really want them going after troops

- Plasma is the new melta in the Australia Meta

- Tanks are no match for boots on the ground

- LD 9+ is a wonderfull thing

- Rune priests are good. not as brilliant as I thought.

Against the Crons I lacked the shot volumes I needed to deal with infantry

Against the Eldar I still could not wreck wave serpents

Against BA I couldn't kill infantry or tanks. One dread survived 4 twin linked las cannons and 3 auto cannons for multiple turns.

Whirl Wind

Seems to have plugged a few notice able holes in the list. Firstly being able to take out entrenched infantry. I also felt I didn't have enough boots on the ground and finally the ability to take out units that have separated from my opponents main force such as basilisks, heavy weapons teams, lone objective holders, devastators, etc.

Still not 100% on it but its getting there.

I will admit that I played slow and stupid. I attacked the wrong units and didn't play with enough aggression.

Oh Well, will keep trying.

Latest idea for plasma marines is Lords of Decay. Looking like a mass of plague marines and Havoks go horde, base them so I can mix and match with my existing Khorne army.

Let Gosford Burn is next weekend, I have 3 predators left to detail. I also want my Lords of Terra list ready for next Thursday so there goes my weekend.

I am also 1 box of nobs short of having a functional Ork Army. Will have to get that going.

Thinking of trying to get my warhound done for A potential apoc game in the near futureneeds some work. The legs need to be redone, the cockpit needs work.

Will try to get plenty of pictures up this weekend.

LoT List- Ironing out the bugs

A couple of things have been bugging me about my LoT List. (see http://miscmarine.blogspot.com/2010/05/quick-lords-list.html)

1. Dreads don't do much. They're a little slow.

2. Rune Priest needs to be mobile and is better off with something expendably

3. Another termie in the second Plasma squad would improve them greatly

Now the tricky bit. I already have Red Marines (Khorne), Green Marines(Nurgle), Blue Marines (Space Wolves), Black Marines (Chaos). So Those are out, I want this army to stand out from the rest. Imperial fists are also out due to a friend of mine already using them.

This is basically slapped together with what I have lying around so little inflexible in the list

So Give me a chapter name.

There has been a general lack of posting at the moment, Lots happening, Pictures soon.

My list for Let Gosford Burn is nearly done, My list for lords will be ready for play testing next Thursday. That only leaves expanding the list for Apoc which will involve 20 Wolf Guard and a Land Raider.

My Khorne army is now a Khorne Nurgle army (Kharne, Prince, 24 Zerkers, 21 Plauge Marines, 3 Bikers, 3 Rhinos, Greater daemon)

This leaves me with 6 bikers, 20 ish assault marines, 50ish black reach marines, 20ish other marines, 3 Dreadnoughts, 5 Blood letters, 20ish Scouts, 3 Characters and a land raider I'm not really doing anything with. Might try and sell them at MOAB, finance my Orks. I could do a Crimson Fist sniper Army. Some will no doubt get drafted into my apoc army.
